Turnaround times are usually 1 week for most items. Prom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride/groom, and other special occasion dresses take between 1-3 weeks depending on when they are brought in (March - July is our extremely busy season) though sometimes might be longer if the required alterations are tedious. Wedding gown and wedding dress alterations take anywhere from 2 weeks to 16 weeks depending on exactly what needs to be done and when they are brought in.

Most prom dresses we get take anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4 hours of labor from start to finish and a common price range we see is $60 - $180 for prom dress alterations. Please keep in mind that prices can be lower or higher depending on what needs to be done. We have to see your dress in person to give you an accurate estimate.

If your dress requires a second fitting that require extensive alterations again, prices may also increase again.

Most wedding dresses can be made smaller (we NEVER had one that couldn't). Making a dress between 1-2 sizes smaller is usually relatively easy to do and common. In some cases, we had to make dresses up to 8 sizes smaller. These jobs are sometimes possible, but are very labor intensive since they require the dress to be recut which for pretty much any clothing item is a hard task, but for wedding dresses, it is especially difficult (this particular job took 20 hours of labor). ​

Making dresses bigger is harder, but can be done. Most dresses come with material to let out 1-2 sizes. Anything more than this requires custom sides to be constructed that match closly the rest of the dress which we can usually do (in most cases). While many of our clients say we are magicians, we are not haha- we have limits to what we can do, but are more than happy to try our best to meet your expectations!

Yes of course! We can shorten all prom dresses. In-fact, we can even shorten prom dresses from the top (provided their is a seam) if your dress has decorations on the hem of it that you would like to keep.

Yes, we do. Tuxedo rentals (and our entire menswear retail area) are at our Newark, NY location. Rentals packages are $200 and include any in-stock tuxedo jacket, tuxedo pants, white or black shirt, solid tie + pocket square, vest, and shoes. We only rent from our current rental collection and do not take special orders for rentals. Furthermore, alterations we do on rental items are limited and cost extra. Buying makes more sense in most cases and we are happy to give suggestions as well.

Buying a tuxedo or suit from us is usually a great option for many students and young adults as their is not much of a differecne between buying and renting. Almost always, it is cheaper to buy 1 time than to rent 2 times from our shop. If you were to buy what comes in our rental package from above the cost would be as follows tuxedo (jacket and pant) $250, shirt $50, vest $50, shoes $50, tie + pocket square $15, and we discount the alterations on purchases.

So it would be $415 + tax + discounted alterations to buy everything that comes in the rental package - far less costly than almost anywhere else for the quality. 

Yes! Starting in 2023, we opened a new location in Eastview Mall in Victor, NY where we carry dresses for all types of occasions. While we have a lot of prom dresses as of April 2023, we are adding Mother of the Bride / Groom, Evening, and other special occasion dresses as well on a weekly basis. By Fall 2023, we will also start to carry Bridal Gowns as well.
